The Marketing Intern will support the team in executing music marketing campaigns, assisting with artist rollouts, and helping build community around Azadi Records and its roster. Reporting to the core team, this role offers hands on exposure to how music marketing, digital culture, and audience engagement work within an independent record label.

Responsibilities

Music Marketing Support

  • Assist the team in planning and executing marketing campaigns for artist releases, music videos, tours, and cultural moments.
  • Support artist rollouts including pre release planning, launch day coordination, and post release amplification.
  • Research music culture, audience trends, and digital conversations to help identify opportunities for campaigns and storytelling.

Content and Platform Support

  • Assist in managing social media calendars and scheduling content across platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, Spotify, and other digital channels.
  • Support the development of short form and long form content for artist and label platforms.
  • Track engagement, audience feedback, and campaign performance to help the team understand what resonates with the community.

Community and Brand Engagement

  • Support community engagement across digital platforms by monitoring conversations, comments, and audience interactions.
  • Assist with outreach and coordination for collaborations, partnerships, and brand activations related to music campaigns.
  • Help document marketing activations, shows, and campaigns for internal tracking and future marketing use.

Campaign Coordination

  • Assist in coordinating with internal teams including creative, artist management, and operations to ensure smooth campaign execution.
  • Maintain marketing trackers, campaign calendars, and reporting sheets.
  • Support the team with campaign reporting and documentation of marketing initiatives and outcomes.

Reporting and Accountability

  • Provide regular updates to the team on assigned tasks and campaign progress.
  • Support the documentation and reporting of marketing campaigns, artist rollouts, and community engagement initiatives.
  • Contribute to ensuring marketing activities are executed within timelines and aligned with the overall vision of Azadi Records.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • Proven experience in a marketing management role.
  • Community-driven communication skills: should create an understanding of an artist’s community and key audiences
  • Stay up to date with technology around media, and its functioning
  • Should have an excellent understanding of platforms including but not limited to: Instagram, Facebook (MetaSuite), YouTube, Spotify, Discord
  • Keen interest in the music industry, new technologies, digital music platforms, etc.
  • Good written & communication skills
  • Proficient in using Excel
