As part of our Record label and Creative agency business, in your role as Label Intern working from our Mumbai offices, you will need to perform the following tasks for all business units listed below.
Administrative Support
- Scheduling: Manage the calendar for the Artist Manager/A&R and set up meetings with artists, producers, and industry professionals.
- Correspondence: Handling emails, calls, and messages, ensuring timely communication with artists and external partners.
- Documentation: Assistance with coordinating the closure and maintenance of contracts, budget sheets, invoices, etc related to artists and projects.
Project Management:
- Release Planning: Assisting in the planning, strategising and executing album or single releases, including timelines, marketing strategies, and promotional activities.
- Budget Management: Keeping track of budgets for various projects, ensuring that spending aligns with allocated funds.
- Logistics: Assistance with Handling travel arrangements, accommodation, and other logistics for artists and the team for any label projects.
Creative Input:
- Content Creation: Helping develop content for social media, press releases, and promotional materials with the marketing team.
- Trend Analysis: Monitoring music industry trends, reporting on potential opportunities for artists and the label, and formulating strategies based on such analysis.
- Unreleased music management: Compiling unreleased demos and prepping for listening sessions in the office. Manage demos and unreleased music of the roster in private SoundCloud playlists.
Financial Administration:
- Expense Tracking: Recording and monitoring all expenses related to the artist’s activities, such as studio time, travel, and promotional events.
- Invoicing: Preparing and processing invoices, ensuring timely vendor payments, and keeping track of all financial transactions.
- Budget Management: Assisting in managing budgets for various projects, ensuring expenditures align with the allocated funds.
Digital & Social Media:
- Social Media Management: Assisting in managing social media accounts for both the label and its artists, including content planning and engagement.
- Data Analysis: Monitoring streaming numbers, social media metrics, and other relevant data to help inform strategies.
- Streaming Analytics: Analyzing streaming data and metrics to identify successful tracks and trends that can inform future projects.
- Playlist Pitching: Assisting in pitching songs to playlists on streaming platforms, working with digital distributors to maximise exposure.
Artist Development
- Brand Alignment: Identify brands that align with the artist’s image, values, and target audience.
- Market Research: Conduct research to understand which brands are currently collaborating with artists and which might be open to partnerships.
- Trend Analysis: Stay updated on trends in brand partnerships and artist collaborations to identify potential opportunities.
- Brand Integration: Assist in integrating the brand collaboration into the artist’s existing marketing and promotional activities.
- Value Proposition: Develop a clear value proposition that outlines the benefits for the brand in collaborating with the artist.
- Branding Materials: Assist in creating or refining pitch decks, portfolios, and other branding materials that highlight the artist’s appeal to potential brand partners.
- Pitch Creation: Develop customized pitches for each brand, highlighting how the artist can enhance the brand’s image, reach, and sales.
- Collaboration Concepts: Propose creative collaboration concepts that could appeal to both the brand and the artist’s fan base (e.g., co-branded products, social media campaigns).
- Presentation Materials: Prepare visual and written materials for pitches, ensuring they are professional, on-brand, and persuasive.
- Networking: Build and maintain relationships with key contacts at potential brands, including marketing managers, brand managers, and PR agencies.
- Cold Outreach: Initiate contact with brands through email, phone calls, or social media to introduce the artist and propose collaborations.
- Follow-Up: Manage follow-ups and continue the conversation with brands to keep potential partnerships alive.
