‘Salaam’ – Swadesi

Fiery, unapologetic and raw, Mumbai-based multilingual hip-hop crew Swadesi’s Salaam is an ode to India’s working class. Bestowing upon them their rightful and dutiful “salaam” as opposed to those who choose to deny them their basic rights, Swadesi confronts critical issues facing the community today. From women’s rights to the issues surrounding the labour right’s movement in India, Swadesi pull no punches with their verses on ‘Salaam’.
