Azadi Records is proud to present Tyaag, the debut EP by Mumbai-based hip-hop artist Maharya. Having honed his skills as part of Swadesi, the city’s fearless multi-lingual hip-hop collective known for voicing the frustrations of the oppressed and downtrodden, Tyaag sees Maharya emerge with a unique flow packed with razor sharp punchlines targeted towards the increasing commercialization of the hip-hop community that he’s helped shaped.
Featuring raucous production from the likes of Zero Chill [Ahmer, Seedhe Maut, Prabh Deep] and assists by Dehradun’s Dakait and Mumbai’s Yashraj, the EP is a testament to the ideals and ethics that still find a home amongst Mumbai’s hip-hop community
